Our Services

"Special is better than perfect." Dr. Cynthia Norall, Ph.D.

Assessment Services:

We provide psycho-educational evaluations, behavioral evaluations, social relational evaluations, and neuro-psychological evaluations. We do program evaluations and offer posed goals and objectives for the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team. We also conduct evaluations for adults on the autistic spectrum.

Consultative Services for Families and School Districts:

We provide training services for parents and professionals. Our trainings include "Autism 101", Friends' Club certification, as well as trainings that cover methodologies that have been proven through empirical research to be effective in children with autism. These include: Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Structured Teaching, Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Social Skills Development, and Facilitated Play. Dr. Norall and her staff are also available to attend IEP team meetings.

Friend's Club®, Jr. Friend's Club®, and Teen's Club:

These therapy groups provide a structured, safe and enjoyable environment designed to explore and develop the many aspects of social success. Your child/teen will be participating in a smaill and intimate group of peers with similar needs, where they will be able to learn behavioral boundaries that will help them to be socially successful. These skills will become generalized into other environments. Click here for more information.

Friends' Camp:

C.A.S.E., Inc. offers children on the Autistic Spectrum the experience of a day camp that has been modified to their needs in a program called Friends' Camp. This program provides a socially structured environment designed to explore and develop various aspects of social success in a safe and enjoyable setting. They will participate in activities like: A day at the beach surfing, A day at the park, trip to the science museum in Balboa Park, CA and Rock Climbing at a gym.

Gender Talk:

These groups provide an opportunity for pre-teens/teens with autism or Asperger's Syndrome to learn that sexual communication is a form of non-verbal communication and to understand how that affects their interactions with others. In addition, an overview of their own sexuality and behavioral boundaries are discussed.

Marriage and Family Services:

C.A.S.E., Inc. now offers Marriage and Family Therapy as well as parent support groups to families with members on the ASD spectrum. This service blends family therapy with behavior analysis to provide support from multiple angles and strategies.

Parent Training:

C.A.S.E., Inc. Staff offers parent trainings sessions led by our Behavior Consultants. Our trainings will discuss how to handle difficult behaviors, write social stories, utilizing organizational skills, and other important parenting issues that come with parenting the ASD population.

IAM Home Therapy:

We believe in Integrated Autism Methodologies in order to provide a seamless program for the child and his/her family. Trained Interventionists work with your child in the home setting. The interventionist uses such intervention methods as Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Structured Teaching, Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Social Skills Development, and Faciliated play to help with typical home routines and to prepare the child for school. We incorporate sensory strategies into the session as well. The IAM interventionist also assists the family in areas of the communities that have been challenging for them.

Social Coaching:

This one-on-one session pairs your pre-teen/teen with a college-aged member of our C.A.S.E., Inc. staff who is trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). The social coach organizes "fun" activities for the teen, integrating social strategies and techniques. He/She will take your pre-teen/teen out into the community to help generalize social skills.
