Cynthia LaBrie Norall, Ph.D. is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP), a nationally certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Dr. Norall is the Clinical Director of Comprehensive Autism Services and Education (C.A.S.E., Inc.) and an Educational and Behavioral Consultant in many school districts around San Diego and Riverside counties. She is the creator of Friends' Club® and author of the book Quirky Yes, Hopeless, No: Practical Tips to Help Your Child with Asperger's Syndrome Be More Socially Accepted. 

In 1992, Dr. Norall realized that she wanted to work with children and teens diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders but did not yet know which path she wanted to take. In 1996, it came to her. She would focus on behavioral therapies and developing appropriate educational programs for persons with communication and social challenges. 

She is trained in ABA, DTT, PECS, PRT, TEACCH, Floortime (DIR) and social thinking (MGW). Her dissertation included research on Parent Perspectives Regarding Educational Resources for Children with Autism. Dr. Norall's mentors in the field of autism are Dr. B.J. Freeman, Dr. Ron Leaf, Dr. Tony Attwood, Carol Gray, and Michelle Garcia Winner (MGW). 

Dr. Norall has opened C.A.S.E., Inc. offices in California (1999), Hawaii (2008) and British Columbia, Canada (2005). She celebrates the perspectives of each client and continues to learn from them each and every day. Her goal is to ensure that all of her clients are participating members of their communities, regardless of their autism diagnosis. Social behavior is more salient a skill than academics and time and time again she has learned that if one focuses on social behavior, the academics will come twofold. 

In her "spare" time, she enjoys the beaches of Carlsbad and has an affinity for the islands of Hawaii. At home she spends her leisure time either reading a good novel late at night or watching TV. She has two children, Lauren and John Lloyd, and a wonderful and forgiving husband, David. She is grateful for the support her husband and children have provided, despite the long hours she has spent away from home, learning from her "friends" on the spectrum.
